Susie Coreth is an actress and writer, living in London.
I’ve been writing poems since I was tiny and have finally decided to do something with them. Some will be old, written years ago, and some will be new.
I’m inspired by so many powerful, influential and brave women and men around the world. Listening to Meryl Streep’s speech at the Golden Globes touched a huge cord – “make it into art” has been something I have consciously and subconsciously lived by my entire life. To hear one of my all-time inspirations deliver those words so eloquently has given me the bravery to publish, albeit on a blog, my poems for you to read/ like/ love/ hate/ whatever.
The world has been such a scary, unpredictable place in the past few years and I want to bring a little life and light into it through one of the main ways I know how: through art, through poetry.
In the end, when we have nothing else left, we’ll still have art and our ability to create.
